Essay on population in india

Increasing population - a major problem in India

India is facing the problem of increasing population. About 17% of the world's population lives in India making it one of the most populous countries in the world. Like almost every developing country, India has many reasons for population growth. One of the main reasons for the growth of population in India is illiteracy. Uneducated and poor people give birth to more children. There are two reasons for this.

Firstly they help more children work and earn money for the family. Second, most of them are not aware of birth control methods. Early marriages result in higher numbers of children. The increase in population can result in reduced mortality. Cures and treatments for various diseases have been developed and thus mortality has decreased.

Preface ( essay on population India )

Population is a commonly used term to denote the number of people living in a place. The density of population in different parts of the world varies greatly for several reasons.

Uneven distribution of population:
The population on Earth is unevenly distributed.

While there are some countries that are facing the problem of population explosion, others are very sparsely populated.

This is not only in the case of human population, it is also good for animals and other organisms.

In some places you will see more number of animals, while in some places you will find hardly any.

Things that affect population density:
The density of population in any area is calculated by dividing the total number of people by the area in which they are living.

The density of population varies from place to place for several reasons. Some factors affecting the density of population in an area are as follows:

Climate

Places with extremely hot or cold climates are very sparsely populated. On the other hand, people who enjoy moderate climate are densely populated.

Resources

Areas with very good availability of resources such as oil , wood and coal, etc. are densely populated, while scarce population due to lack of these basic resources.

Political environment | essay on population

Countries that enjoy stable government and a healthy political environment are densely populated. These countries attract migrants from other countries by populating that area. On the other hand, countries with poor or unstable government see many people going elsewhere for the availability of any good opportunity.

living standard | essay on population

First world countries like the U.S.A attract a lot of immigrants because they package people better and improve people's living standards. People from different parts of the world live in such countries. This is the reason that the density of population in such countries is increasing.

Government of India efforts to control the population

• The Government of India has set a minimum age of 21 years for boys and a minimum age of 18 years for girls to overcome the population, but this rule is not strictly followed in the backward and rural areas of India.

• Government of India is promoting adoption of children, but this is not affecting the mentality of Indians, because of conservative thinking, even today children are reluctant to adopt.

• Education is being promoted by the Government of India, but the rules and regulations of the government are not being implemented at the ground level.

The conclusion :

If concrete steps are not taken in this direction to control the population, our country will lag behind in terms of development and the standard of living will decrease continuously.

At the same time, the government should also take this problem seriously and make strict rules law. So that our country can move forward on the path of development.
